1. Overview
SoundBooth Bot (SBB) is a chat-based soundboard that allows viewers to trigger sounds in real time on Twitch and YouTube streams. We offer Free, Starter, and Pro plans with different features.
By using SoundBooth Bot, you agree to abide by these terms, as well as the Terms of Service for Twitch and YouTube.
2. Your Account
- You need a Twitch or YouTube account to use SoundBooth Bot.
- Keep your login details secure.
- One account per person – no sharing.
- No bots, automation, or unauthorized access (API support coming soon).
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- You can delete your account anytime by contacting Discord support.
- When an account is deleted, associated personal data will be permanently removed, except where retention is legally required.
3. Sound Upload Rules (Starter & Pro Plans Only)
If you have a Starter or Pro plan, you can upload custom sounds. However, uploaded sounds must follow these rules:
- Allowed file types: .ogg, .mp3, .wav
- Maximum file size: 2MB
- Maximum length: 30 seconds
Prohibited content includes:
- Sounds you do not own or have rights to use
- Hate speech, violent, or explicit content
- Copyrighted material without proper permission
- Sounds that impersonate individuals, brands, or businesses
- Malicious or deceptive content
- Excessive volume (earrape)
- Sounds promoting illegal activities
We may remove any sound that violates these rules without notice. Users are fully responsible for any copyright claims related to their sounds. If we receive a valid DMCA request, we will remove the content and notify the user.
4. Service Usage
- Do not use SoundBooth Bot for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Do not attempt to hack, break, or disrupt the service.
- Do not interfere with other users’ experience.
- Do not resell or redistribute our service.
- Do not misuse the service in any way.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
- Payments are securely processed through Patreon, PayPal, and Stripe.
- Subscription fees are billed according to your payment provider’s terms.
- Refunds are only provided if required by Australian consumer law.
- If a payment fails, access to Starter and Pro features may be restricted until payment is resolved.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
SoundBooth Bot retains ownership of all branding, software, and related content. Users retain ownership of their uploaded sounds but grant SoundBooth Bot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit their sounds for the purpose of providing the service.
7. Liability & Warranty
SoundBooth Bot is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not responsible for:
- How users use the sounds
- Copyright claims made against user content
- Technical issues or service interruptions
- Lost or corrupted data or sounds
- Damages resulting from using the service
8. Third-Party Services
SoundBooth Bot integrates with Twitch and YouTube, but we do not control these services.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for service disruptions caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Power or internet outages
- Cyberattacks
- Government actions
10. User Responsibilities
Users agree to indemnify and hold SoundBooth Bot harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
- Violations of these terms
- Illegal use of the service
- Copyright violations related to uploaded sounds
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of SoundBooth Bot after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Legal Jurisdiction
SoundBooth Bot is based in Melbourne, Australia. These terms are governed by Australian law.
